The TEEcher Program

This program, developed at the University of Florida, is an introduction to transesophageal echocardiography. It is provided to the anesthesiology community through the courtesy of the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation and the University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology.

A User's Manual in portable document format is available. You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader (a free program) to view this file.

TEEcher Download Instructions

The file should be downloaded into a TEMP directory, which will create a file called TEECHER.ZIP. You will then need to decompress the program using a program called PKUNZIP. (This program is available here). From the DOS prompt, type PKUNZIP -d -o TEECHER.ZIP, which will disassemble the file into its component installation disks. PKUNZIP will create subdirectories DISK1, DISK2, ..., DISK9 within your TEMP directory.

Go to the DISK1 subdirectory (cd DISK1) and run SETUP.EXE, which will install the TEECHER software. Once installed, TEECHER is best viewed in 640 x 480 resolution with 256 colors.

TEEcher system requirements

IBM-compatible, 486 or higher computer
40 MB hard disk space
4 MB RAM

Microsoft Windows 3.1 or later
Microsoft DOS 3.3 or higher
This software has not been tested with Windows 95.

Download the TEEcher Program (10 Megabytes). This may take several hours over a 28.8 kb dial-up connection.
