Richard D. Urman, MD, MBA, FASA is a staff anesthesiologist at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA and Harvard Medical School. Urman’s research interests are in patient safety, novel anesthetic drugs, opioid safety, and shared decision making. He has received funding from the NIH, AHRQ, NSF, APSF and FAER. He has lectured nationally and internationally. He Chairs the ASA Abstract Subcommittee on Patient Safety and Practice Management and co-Chairs the APSF Grant Alumni Academy.
