Jay Mesrobian, MD, MBA, FASA, FACHE brings diverse and valuable talents to TeamHealth as the chief clinical officer of TeamHealth Anesthesia. In this role, he is responsible for advancing the strategic goals of the Anesthesiology service line, including:

• clinical quality and patient safety
• clinical operations
• patient experience
• practice management and leadership
• performance improvement
• business development

Prior to this appointment, Mesrobian worked in both academic and private practices for more than 25 years in Columbia, South Carolina, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From 2017-2019, he served as the Vice-chair for Affiliated Practices in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He also served as a Regional Medical Director for TeamHealth Anesthesiology from 2015-2017, providing leadership and strategic planning expertise to practices and client hospitals in Ohio, Georgia, Florida and South Carolina.

Mesrobian currently serves as Treasurer for the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and as a Board member of American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation.  He also served as President of the Wisconsin Society of Anesthesiologists from 2007-2009.

Mesrobian received his undergraduate degree in philosophy from Princeton University and his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and is a board-certified Physician Anesthesiologist.
