Aalap Shah, MD is a triple board-certified anesthesiologist, specializing in general adult and pediatric anesthesiology as well as clinical informatics.
Shah is dedicated to advancing process improvement in perioperative healthcare, enhancing physician autonomy, and optimizing patient outcomes. He has published on nerve injury, perioperative quality improvement, clinical decision support and sustainability in peer-reviewed journals with recognition from the ACGME, serves as an Editor for BMC Anesthesiology, and was previously the Director of Clinical Informatics for an academic anesthesiology department while on faculty. He has taught numerous medical students, residents and fellows through his various practices.
He attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, thereafter completing a general anesthesiology residency at the University of Washington and fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School and obtaining certification in Lean and Six Sigma methodology.
