The APSF is endorsing the Institute for safe Medication Practices (ISMP) initiative “ISMP Medication Safety Self Assessment for Perioperative Settings,” launching May 18, 2021.
Per the ISMP:
“The new self assessment also offers providers a way to document compliance with regulatory or accrediting requirements for proactive risk assessment (e.g., The Joint Commission standard LD.04.04.05) and performance improvement, create organization-specific, safety-focused initiatives, and compare their experiences with the aggregate experience of demographically similar organizations.
The data submission deadline is February 11, 2021.”
