2006 Grant Recipients

The Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation Scientific Evaluation Committee is pleased to announce the 2006 APSF Grant recipients:

• Melanie C. Wright, PhD - Duke University Medical Center. "Objective Measures of Performance in Simulated Anesthesia: A Comparison of Novices and Experts."  Amount of Grant: $74,959

  Additionally, Dr. Wright's application was selected to receive the Ellison C. Pierce, Jr. Education Award in the amount of $5,000.

• Martin J. London, MD - University of California, San Francisco.  "Perioperative Pharmacologic Prophylaxis for Cardiovascular Events in the Department of Veterans Affairs: A Pharmaco-epidemiologic Pilot Project."  Amount of Grant: $75,000

  Dr. Martin's project was selected to be the recipient of the APSF/Anesthesia Healthcare Partners Award.
